This is bloody gorgeous.

1. Keep it all standard and enjoy.

2. Garage it!

3. Keep it nice and secure.

4. Enjoy!

Chris,
Are you a member of the Victorian Torana Club?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I'm curious. Aside from the cheaper price, what are the advantages and limitations of club registration? I'm on my phone at work at the moment and can't find out for myself.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

In Vic the car must be a min of 25 years old.
You must be a financial member of an Club associated with the registration scheme
The tech officer and secretary of the club must sign off on the rego application.
You pay about $120 for 90 days of rego (or you can opt for about $90 and get 45 days) and a log book.
You can drive the car any of the 90 days (not for financial reward) but each day must be logged in the book before the drive. Distance is unlimited.
You cannot drive the car once the log book is full.

It is not really rego, it's classified as an unregistered vehicle permit. The special number plate is the permit number.
CH#### for Classic Historic (also H####) and SR#### for Street Rods.

Shannons insurance provide a cheaper rate for vehicles in the scheme.

You are also allowed to drive unlogged as a maintenance check, but must remain within 100 meters of the garaged address.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Thanks everyone for the complements about the car. Much appreciated. :D Not very often you'll find a car of this age with only one owner.

Rookie mistake.
Contessa Gold not Sunburst.

I'll go and crawl back under my rock.

Correct mate. Contessa Gold it is.

So cool. :D

Said stereo install isnt going to ruin the car in anyway is it? Dont cut anything original.

Keep it dead stock IMHO.

In one way yes but in another way no. My old man many years ago completely changed the stereo and had a new shape single din head unit put in and 6" speakers in the front and 6x9's in the back. so im just replacing the empty holes with what fits. Heres what I got.

Correct mate it is a luggage rack. Its a oem factory opption that came on the car new. The tailgate thats on the car isnt original. The original one had bad rust around the window sill. That original tailgate had 5 little strips that where the same stuff as the knock stips on the side of the car.

And finally a pic of her at the mechanics getting work done on her.

Nice work!!

Nice how Rares makes all this stuff now.

That is a copy of the radio blanking plate as fitted to A9X.
:)

I actual fact it's dealer fitted. Some even go to the edge of the hatch and clamp to the lip.
I have seen a few different versions of these. ;)

This is awesome
& fantastic in so many ways!

Your car is mad!
It's in such good nik.

If I may make 1 suggestion....
Please get rid of the white cable ties on the top hose. Use black ones & hide the join under the hose.
My eyes are drawn to them as everything else looks neat in the engine bay.

The photo of the engine was taken before I did an oil change and radiator flush so those cable ties are gone and those radiator hoses and hose clamps are all new know.

When I did the radiator flush I took the top hose off the thermostat housing I found this =(
