Hi,

Dad and I live on the same piece of dirt and this is the first lunch we've had together since New Years Day - so we like to have something special. He's nailed three bottles of Veuve as well!

Cheers,
Nik

Hi,

Richo, have you heard what he has named his children?

The couple met in 1993 and have four children: Poppy Honey Rosie Oliver (born 18 March 2002), Daisy Boo Pamela Oliver (born on 10 April 2003), Petal Blossom Rainbow Oliver (born on 3 April 2009)[57] and Buddy Bear Maurice Oliver (born on 15 September 2010).[58] Oliver announced the births of the two youngest children on Twitter.[59][60]

Also, after the first confirmed domestic violence cases I stopped caring about his existence.

Cheers,
Nik

Working on the Bald bit...but Fat will never happen :D (thankyou genepool)
I like his Ethos...and I want his vegetable Garden, but the guy shits me most of the time.
Without Lemon Juice, Balsamic and Olive oil, I doubt the wanker could plate a meal.

I 'all of a sudden' DO NOT like his ethos.

Hi,

I can't lie, I have a fair few of his books - I guess it's one of those 'never meet your heroes' scenarios for me.

I have found the same enjoyment and as Pete put it, ethos, in Bill Grainger's books. Aussie too!

Cheers,
Nik

If you ever want a "Cooking book' for complete information overload (and not a single recipe) "Mcgee on Food and Cooking" is amazing.

Hi,

I have seen it, but never spent time with it. I have Maggie's bible, which I treasure.

My ex took all the cook books (chef)

Hell...if I wind up there, she'll have prepared me well.

I just loved flicking through them for inspiration. Ever seen the Trotter book's, or old Mate from El Bulli's, or the chocolate sculptures for Salon de Culinaire...the shit is just plain amazing.

Hi,

I flicked through the El Bulli book, you just reminded me of it. Joshy and I had a look-see when we were there.

The lamb backstrap was life changing.

I did a little chocolate course with the bird from here; http://www.savourschool.com.au/ ; top chick, and doing big things on the world stage these days!

Cheers,
Nik

Hi,

Haha, not in Barcelona, mate! Closest I've come to that is Anthony Bourdain - No Reservations!

They do a good job in Sydney though.

Cheers,
Nik

Oh. I really have had my head out of the game for some time...I had no idea there was an Australian "outlet"?.
Mr Bourdain is quite the character. If I were ever to drink again, I would like it to be with someone like that.

Hi,

I think his best series is 'The Layover'.

Yeah, it's in Surrey HIlls - it's 'endorsed' - obviously nothing like smashing the cans in Barcelona. But still!

Cheers,
Nik
