SS, SS-V, Clubsports ect have fantastic running gear and the torque is amazing (Makes you feel like you are going quicker than you are)

They are still boats.

If i was going to own a land boat, It would be a XR6T ute. So much fun to be had for such little coin. Absolute rocket ships.

I was looking at an XR6T Sedan... but since my 62 year old Mother In Law has an XR6 also, I didn't want one anymore... lol

Was more going on looks, then driveability/reliability.

I don't like the new SS', I drove one and the gearbox felt like it was made of plastic, horrible thing.

I'd have to classier on a land boat. I'd go for a Jaguar XJR

@Ash - Hectic! A fall like that can often be the start of the end but thank goodness you were able to give his mate a hand. That's how my grandparents started their decline. They were both in their own home. Nana had a fall one night only in August last year and now they've both passed away. Obviously there's more to it than that but it was the start of a hard hitting domino effect
