Re-attaching Outback panels:

A few of the side panels have some large gaps between the body or are actually starting to come away from doors themselves, I've taken two off and noticed that a fair few of the pink screws are missing, so I'll try replace them, remove the failing Sikaflex and add some new stuff to each one.

Have two off at the moment.

Removed most of the top layer Sikaflex so the holes are visible again:

Cleaned it up a bit with a wet rag:

Anyone know an easy way to remove old, cured Sikaflex?

Awesome work on getting into the small detailing things. It's small improvements like these that make a perfect example of your car later on. Good work man, and remember, be patient with it all.

I've been busy all weekend with places to go and family events which has prevented me from doing a similar thing but I will get there slowly slowly. Instead of me doing it in such a large chunk like you are doing, I am going about it one at a time. Still get the same result at the end of the day anyway. ;)

I'll go at it with a card or something then, I'm fingernail impaired too.

I'll probably chunk it over the next few weekends if I have time, then knock away at it over Summer. The gen 4 is looking clean as though!

Thanks man! There is definitely more work needed but it is coming along nicely. You're at the stage now when all you've gotta do is maintain it, ha ha. I've still got quite a few things to get my hands on!

If you heat the sikaflex up with a heat gun (not too hot) you will find you should be able to rub it off with your thumb.

It worked for me when I removed the Tommy Kiara rear diffuser from the GT's rear bar.

Remove B4 badge = WIN! :sarcastic:

Rear wing will finish the rear off nicely.

Gave the car a wash today, but I've been unable to find the door mould pins (dealership will probably want $3 each, and i'll need at least 20 of them) so I'll be driving around commo-spec for now while I source some.  -_-

Brought the plates forward a bit with some spacers so that they aren't so bent. Look's a bit nicer!

Been looking into the GT-B wings, how hard is it to wire up the light/is it better going spoiler without the light? Also read online that people use heavy duty adhesive instead of drilling.

Had a look at these two so far:

Fairly easy to instal once you get it lined up well. The wiring is just a matter of unplugging the current brake light and plugging in the wing brake light (unless you want both - and that wouldn't be much harder).

Car failed rego, mainly due to the mechanic having a whinge at the tyres/wheels.

Small oil leak in the right hand rocker cover gasket, which I'll fix up myself and a hole somewhere in the exhaust which i'll get done somewhere.

Tyres are looking a little dodgy so they'll be binned and replaced with some Michelin Pilot Sport 3's all around depending on price. Also on the look out for some stock STI wheels in 5x100.

Then just raise up the coilovers and pass without any problems at all.

why not just take it upto ichiban once the oil leak, exhaust is fixed and get it passed. which mechanic did you go to?

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans
