Reevsey's?

His car is getting a new engine. Those early GT/RS heads are bullshit noisy with age.

Heaps of the aussie RS's got WRX heads at the factory. Much quieter :)

There was a factory recall at some point, I believe as well

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Yeah they are f**king loud. Just adds to the sleeper effect. Had a few people ask if had massive injectors lol. But yeah they are original legacy heads with hydraulic lifters. But got a set of 98 wrx heads with v4 cams going in with the new block which is getting machined next week :). Which also reminds me I really should start a build thread.

Okay, so back on topic..

Just went and saw Ben at Ichiban, he said car wasn't too bad for it's age, but it is showing it's age.. hah.

Subaru was telling the truth, but lying about it. My rear driveshafts were sort of out, but it wasn't the wheels causing the problem.
It must've been the last person to work on the diff, didn't put them back in properly.
But, all fixed now!

Will definitely be hitting the boys up for the work it still needs :)

Good result!

Pity that Subaru couldn't even pick that up and blamed it on some wheels...

Yeah I don't know that diagnostics of the shafts being out was ever in question but Subaru saying it was the wheels was pure bollocks. Good that you got an outcome your happy with and have found a trustworthy shop to take your car to

Hi,

Subaru will always blame something non factory before anything else, it's like a dealership code or something. You have a dodgy air-con unit they'll say "This car isn't meant to have a rear bootlid spoiler, that probably caused the problem"

Good to hear you got some solid advice, Stocky.

Cheers,
Nik

Yep, thanks to a lot of guys on here recommending the boys at Ichiban. Plus, they're a 5 min drive from my Missus' place :)

Awesome to see that the boys at ICHIban helped you out. That'll most probably be the place to go for me. I'm currently in chat with Ben so I'm hoping to make my way his way in the next couple of days before Easter is upon us.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

I'll be down there in a day or two, again.. Picking up the B4 RSK seats :)
Then back next week to fix a couple of leaks!
