Oh yeah adam. I had to make a #4 taper centre for a lathe head then use it to make a drive shaft with circlip grooves and threads, and then measue up some plumbers blocks and make a brass or cast (cant remember) bushes to suit it all. Then put it in a mill and put a keyway in it and machine a v belt pulley for it all. Pretty sure i had to make a nut for it aswell. Was a cool little project :)

Still finished well though.
