Nik, that car mounted rig is an awesome setup, but I dont believe I havethe engineering prowess to construct something I'd be wiling to strap my $2k camera to.

edit** I probs wouldn't have used PVC piping. Flexes too much, you'd get some seriously unsteady video once you start moving at a decent speed.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Are you talking about the door glass on your car? If so, I've got the same problem. Is it just a matter of adjusting the height of your door?

Mine was rising too high.
Just adjust the stops, mostly the one to the rear.

Gah. Tossing up whether to smash around $300-$400 on a half decent Manfrotto fluid tripod. Everyone I've spoken to says get nothing other then Manfrotto, but Posted Image
