I have twin stainless 2.5" custom dumps, a high flow cat, large hot doggy, 2 3/4" pipes, custom heat wrapped exhaust manifold and a X force rear.
It's not obnoxiously loud at idle but flows good. Biggger injectors & pump & a few other things in the engine bay. Tuned and Dyno'd by Horse power factory to 197 atw.
It's a freak!

I'm not liking you very much now either, lol!... I'm soooo jelly.. so you went to Melb to get yours tuned?

I thought about doing injectors and fuel pump with mine but was worried about fuel consumption. Did it make it much worse?
My next step is a VF52 turbo. Shoukd net me 210 @ the wheels. After that I promised myself id stop modding haha

Hahhaaa it never ends!

I blame my poor consumption figures on my right foot.
It's not economical but that's ok by me.

yeah about 130-140 is right. Catback won't see much of a change, it's the dumps that are the restriction. After a full exhaust + tune, you might see 170-180 atw

191* :P :P

Did you put those custom dumps in yet?

Yup that will change things for ever!
I can't help myself. Constantly giving it a boot full. Even when I'm just ducking up the road to Woolies.

No mate. The previous owner got it tuned a few months before it was written off due to a rear ender. I simply used all his goodies when transplanting.
Bought the wreck in Melb.

I've heard good things about Tunehouse as well. A few people I know get their cars tuned there each time. Might be worthwhile checking out, Zig_Zac.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Not sure how much it costs to get a B4 tuned, but its pricey for a gen 4 GT. Cost me $900 at MSR but i think thats because of the SI Drive as he might have to do 3 seperate tunes.

Ahh... I think MSR told me its about 8-900 or something for a tune... but then I told him its a B4, and he said he doesn't do them... will see what he says this time...

I think TuneHouse is quite a bit more than that...

Ive never heard of tunehouse but surely they cant be too much more than 900.

MRT is about 2k.. which is ridiculous! Its not even a custom tune its just a reflash. hahaha

Yeah MRT is a joke... I forgot how much tunehouse is, but I remember it was more than 900, quite a bit more? Even Pulse was $1200 I think...

Tunehouse are a bit pricey but everything I've heard about them is positive. Seems to be some good odds though, and if you've got the cash and it's close-by, you'd definitely look into it.

peadya100, you say that it cost you $900 as you've got SI-DRIVE. Would you happen to know how much it'd cost to get my 2006 Liberty wagon tuned? It's got sport shift as well, but not the three mode feature yours has.

Wow i thought 900 was quite dear from MSR..... Maybe im just a tight ass hahaha
Ive heard reasonable things about pulse.. i guess if tunehouse is around the 1200 mark too thats not too bad. The way i look at it its 900-1200 to get you a tune and whatever it costs to get an exhaust for a B4 to get you 180wkw. Pretty cheap horsepower really !!

Im pretty sure the price would be similar Liberty (i think your names Garry! from memory isnt it?)
He did say that he has done quite a few H6's, but im not sure how much he can get out of them. If you just want a tune you should try a street tuner like kido. Im pretty sure theyre much cheaper.

It is man. With one 'r' though, but someone on this forum has added a filter to make it 'Garry!'.

I've heard about Kido as well. I will be getting a tune after I get my exhaust installed though. I wouldn't wanna tune the car when it's completely factory.

I knew I didnt type your name that way and I tried to edit it but couldnt... funny stuff.. did they do it for you or a diff Garry!?

Plus to get the benefits of the exhaust you need a tune anyway so smart move!

Garrrrrrrrrrry... I spoke to Kido a few times even about tuning my B4...

If TH is in Sydney, and if you are lucky enough to book in to tune with him, then its awesome, coz he does a street tune for you with him driving your car... makes sense, but most of the time, they send you the cable, and a few other things I think, then you get the stock tune of your car to them by email, they tweak some stuff, then send it back to you, you test it on the road yourself, send back the results, then they tweak more stuff and this keep going till its done, then you mail the cable and stuff back to them..

I think that is about $400 if I can remember correctly. I was going to get it done by them too, but once again, B4, nobody wants to touch it, since they don't have the tunes for it, and not all the ECUs can be tuned... so they didn't want to risk it... poor B4... :(
