There is a clicking noise coming from behind my steering wheel. At first i though it was the clock spring but its too far back and with my new steering wheel i had to remove it. It sounds like twisting or cracking plastic is the closest thing i can think of. Its mainly when turning left maybe 1/5 of the way. But it also does it when turning right and occasionally when not turning at all. The car doesnt seem any different but its just annoying and nobody likes the sound of breaking from their car.

Ill try to get a video of it tonight

Any thoughts?

I've had the shroud and the cluster surround off since I first heard it, but I didn't test drive it. Better go for a drive then

That's what I'm thinking too Chris.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

That'd be way too annoying if it was happening to me. I hope you manage to fix the problem man.

So my brother borrowed my car today and used his gps. He noticed it wasnt charging and somehow pulled out the cigarette lighter and low and behold, no more clicking. So a dodgy relay is suspected

Of all the things... good news then?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Ha ha, random but it's good to see you've sorta found the problem. Let us know how you go with the fix man.
