The bronze rims are the best in my opinion!

Haha yeah I've been Lucky, haven't even been pulled over. Since I got my licence.

Mainly because it still looks like a grandmas car.

Great read mate, many of us have been down the license suspension route! :/

I agree, the bronze ones easily take the cake for best rims. Much better than those newer WRX wheels! They look mean whereas the others look ..quite plain.

Reading this does make me that much keener for HVC, will be a good day.

Great read! Pity about the license man :(
Got any closer up pics of the light bar install (with the light off)?

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

So, a bit of work over the last few days.

Had a flogged out control arm bush, so decided to get a white line anti lift kit and do it properly, also scored the gtb brakes off cruisins outback so threw those on. What an upgrade!! Massive brakes for an n/a haha.

And yesterday I put on my 22nd white line adjustable rear sway bar. This would have to be the best mod for the dollars I have ever done. Holy shittt, it makes such a difference. So much tighter now!

Just a few more things to do before hvc, replace my steering rack boot, do an oil and filter change, and monitor my water levels as they were pretty much non existent the other night and I don't have any leaks so that has me stumped lol. All in all, so keen to get to Sydney then catch up with another 100+ subys!

So its been a view years and not much has changed until recently.

I tossed up converting my car to v4/v5 sti spec, and came to the conclusion i didn't want to invest that much coin into an older car. (Probably a bit late to make that call but anyway).

So i decided to do something different.

Hence the ej22et. Standard N/A ej22e motor, with 2000 wrx headers and uppipe. A rebuilt td04. TMIC and 3 inch exhaust.

Standard ecu, injectors and everything. Running a measly 5psi. This build wasnt to get stupid power or be a fast car. Just to improve driveability and have a little more go.

No dramas so far, a weekend full of fun to put it all together and a completely different car to drive. Now talk about bang for buck mods. I couldve got away with this for less than $300.

I could push this further, and may do in the future. But this is my daily and does about 500km a week so i need it to be reliable. No issues thus far. :)

Noice. Some 25D heads will lower the comp for moar boost and should rev better too. Could also get the valve train from any 3/4 STI/WRX and swap them into the heads as well

Done just under 2000km since we put it all together, no issues yet. Leans out a little bit sometimes so will have to sort that.

Ive done a little bit of research into this, but not a lot. Whats required to make it work? And what boost can be run?
