I'd be looking at Cable Broadband before NBN, with either Optus or Telstra.
ADSL2+, I was going to go to TPG. Good reviews when I was looking over a year ago.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

You should upgrade migoreng. You can pay $60 per month at TPG and get unlimited bandwidth.
I just checked again. My plan is actually: Ultimate DSL2+ 200GB (Off-net)
plenty of downloads.

Best part = Not indian. Not being racist, but most telstra techs I talk to over the phone are indian and dont know shit about what they are talking about.
MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Yes. They're owned by iiNet nowIs internode available outside of SA? Have had one problem that was sorted by their tech support within 5 min. They actually know what they are talking about, and are willing to explain how to fix it over the phone.

You might be able to push for a ... uh... transposition (i think is what its called) basically you end up off the crappy section of line if anything is spare, assuming the damage is not with the whole trunk/cable runI am with iinet...where I am we need almost 1.5km of copper replaced but its not iinets fault and telstra don't wanna lift a finger...iinet I will rate AAA for customer service always speak to an aussie. I cant wait for the NBN they start construction in May
If its still the same, call after 8pm WST, the contact center switches to South Africa. ~2am WST its Auckland. There is a bit of overlap so from ~6am - 8pm it could also be people in Perth and Syd.

Perfect. Should suit you fine then.I just checked again. My plan is actually: Ultimate DSL2+ 200GB (Off-net)

We're on unlimited at home mainly because I have my dad, two brothers and sister always using the Internet, and my dads company pays for half of his Internet usage as he works from home at various times. So at $30 per month for unlimited bandwidth, we're laughing.
I assume so. The exchange might be quite far from your sisters house which means everyone in between her house and the exchange get first dibs, so by the time it reaches your sister is where you experience the slow speeds.slow as shit. i do suspect its their area as they are borderline suburbia

You need this website
http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/
Also I'm with TPG and they are fine.
Asking for the best ISP on Whirlpool is like asking the best brand of car on a Subaru forum.
They are all biased as as they are all Internode/iiNet fanboys, that whole forum is full of them.
Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Whirlpool has very bias opinions on EVERYTHING. Sometimes you might find a good review, but the replies to that review are completely stupid.

I wasn't suggesting use the forum. Idiots everywhere.
But their search tool on the homepage is brilliant.
