Yes Zac! Exactly.

They sure know how to cook a curry.

Man, even something simple like Satay... wow... the sauce they use, and they way to actually cook the satay over the fire and fan it with their rattan fans... wow... tastes too good..

We gave tips to people who deserved it :D, Me and my cousin got bored at Boracay, so ended up spending a day (well several actually) at the hobbit house which is a little pub that has beers from all over the world and all the staff are dwarves. One of them sat with us pretty much all day and watched the basketball and chatted to us about random shit and got beers for us when we needed, never played the poor card or anything. So when we left I gave him a 1000 peso tip which is a bit over a days wage for him :D haha dude was stoked.

Maybe you should start a place in Sydney doing that sort of shit :P I would go there.

They drug babies and have small children hold them in Argentina's shopping district to make it look like they are sick and beg for money. The mother usually hides on the otherside of the mall.

So yeah, probably wont be going to a 2nd world country for a while... but it was an experience.

I've been to Singapore several times. It's so much more westernised than Malaysia.

I hear the East coast of Malaysia is so much nicer & cleaner than the west.
It is a good place to see some Posted Image'ed up shit. Like Thaipusam! Many lols to be had!

Those guys are mental!

Ha! Would if I could... but Mamak in Sydney has kind of cornered that Market, but charge a fortune for sub-standard malaysian food... but as close as you can get her I guess, which is sad...

Ahhh man... I wish I could that that Satay now...

There is a place close to where I work called Ipoh on York... very very very good Malaysian food, chefs must be from there, its very nice, but still not exactly the same and stupidly expensive... yeah I'm fussy, but nothing beats the original... still very good though... :)

Yeah... SIngapore is very 1st world... but since I grew up there, I know there is some messed up shit that goes on there too that outsiders don't see or know.. LOL!

Hmmm the East Coast hey? Cool, will check it out...

Lol! Thaipusam... I remember that.. friends used to do it... I thought it was mental too... not my kinda thing...

So what you are saying is that you don't feel you could compete with a place that is offering sub standard food at crazy high prices?........

Exactly... since I have no cooking skills what so ever... LOL!

I know how its meant to taste, but if I tried to cook anything, it won't come out like its meant to taste...

I'd have to go to Malaysia and spend a few years learning all the techniques and recipes, and even then, it is a hard market to break into with quite a few franchises around the place having most of the market, which I feel are just riding on their name...

Plus, I really am not a chef... LOL!

Good research there Josh... yeah I see what they have on the menu and its ok, but not for that price... way too much. I might have to check these places out actually, just to see what the food is like... its funny, since my wife can't handle hot food at all... Oh well more chilli for me... :)

hang on.... wasn't it $12B last week?

The Gillard government will not go ahead with a family benefits boost that would have provided a maximum of $600 extra a year to eligible Australian families, as it signals that the budget faces a $17 billion shortfall in revenue this financial year.

Prices look pretty cheap to me? remembering we are in Sydney Australia where shit is expensive (unless you compare it to Perf)

Yeah I'll agree with you there... Sydney is expensive... but see, the Nasi Lemak at the first place is $15.80, while its $10.50 at the place I go to near my work... and it tastes pretty good...

I guess it is because I know the prices they were in Singapore when I was there, or even Malaysia when I was there 4 years ago... Nasi Lemak would only be like $6-$7 for a large helping, but then again, that was from the Hawker Centres... not restaurants, so less overheads

Where I go, I usually have the chicken rice... but they make chinese chicken rice there(hainanese chicken rice), which is poached chicken, so healthier for me.. LOL!

I like MeeGoreng, nice and spicy if they can make it that way, or add chilli...

Nasi Lemak is always a good thing, expecially with Sambal, so good, and it can be quite hot if they make it right, and it is served with coconut rice, so even that is flavoured

The curry is usually good too, order with roti(bread) and dip the roti in the curry, if the roti is made freshly, it will melt in your mouth almost

Rendang is good too, hot with onion, either chicken or beef...

Laksa is a common fav, I don't mind it, but I'm not too much of a soup fan, but can be very spicy too...

I think you can tell I love my food stupidly hot... :)

One day Adam.. I will go to my mum's place, get her to make some chicken curry and bring you some... she makes an awesome curry and pretty traditional tasting too...

Also, there is a place called Zaika's in Kingswood, so next to Rach's uni, which has pretty good curry too... good flavours and you know it is good when if you use your hands to eat it, even after washing your hands, you will still be able to smell the curry on them... lol... try the butter chicken or Chicken Tikka Malasa.. :)

I don't really dig Asian food. I like parts of it. But for the most part my exposure has led me to feel that it's all pretty much the same ingredients just prepared slightly differently.

In a way you are right... but each dish should have a special flavour to it, like a special ingredient to it to give it a unique taste, though the rest of the ingredients are the same...
