Someone did years ago over here and a mate of mine was an "instructor" (just a bunch of the higher level guys n gals helping the noobs) at the race track for drift events. Said they're a nice car to drift.

once they have the time spent on setting them up right they are a dream to drift :) unfortunately i didnt get any of my really good drifts on film, i got lazy and was a little concerned that i was going to loose a camera :P

Just found this thread and I'm loving it. I've been contemplating a drift car for a while and with my Gen 1 wagon sitting dead in the street (gearbox failure, I have a spare) taking crap from my Gen 3, I think I might have to get building. Keen to see how this beast progresses, very nice work so far.

So took the drift car out for some practice the other week, only during the very first drift of the night i broke my LH front LCA double adjuster and that was me done for the night :(

In the pits pics

And its stuck on the off field

So after breaking my LCA i obviously got sent off into the grass what i can tell is that the LCA anchored itself into the dirt and the car pivoted around it also snapping a decent chunk out of my rim.

For this exact reason is why i dont drift on expensive rims, only cheap rotas :P

And it gets added to my shrine of broken shit  :P

Bit of super glue and she'll be right

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Nothing majorly bent from the car turning on the control arm? Thinking control arm mounts/bolt holes etc? Takes a lot of force to do that sort of thing... Good point about the expensive rims. Cheap and cheerful is the way to go. They might be known as cheap rims, but I can't see much else other than a really thickwalled stock wheel tolerating that sort of abuse. All the lightweight aftermarket wheels would likely have the same issue when subjected to that.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Yea it doesnt look like anything else has bent or broken but wont know for sure until i get it back on a wheel alignment.  i think the car would of rotated easier because i was holding onto the hydro at the same trying to slow the car down.

Haha nice, at the moment i have given up on painting guards because i keep destroying them :P so until my front end is set up perfectly the damaged ones are going to stay :P

So new motor is in the car and tested it running n/a as the up-pipe flex decided to have a massive failure, so that prompted a whole new exhaust with a twist mount turbo setup which will be finished by the end of the week, until then i have reduced the twin side pipe to only be on the passenger side but added a bit of flavour to the mix :)

also got a new jim berry clutch with a little bit more bite as the old one was dead, but surprisingly not slipping :)

Old clutch

New clutch

busted puckered colon of an up-pipe (definitely not meant to look like that)

And the new touch to my exhaust :)
