Hi guys,

baby is close... 4 and a bit weeks!! so its crunch time soon for a wagon...

even though fate stepped in, i was supposed to have a look at Nik ( skillionaire's) 05 OBK 3.0R

but also have my eye on a MY04 GT Wagon with 130k on the clock...

will i miss out on anything or be trading off in anyway (mainly suspension and lil particulars) by going with the GT... i know Niks OBK has some JDM STI goodness in the suspension... and has a nice H6

but opinion me please... no flaming...

also what have someof you guys got as trades on your B4

mine is a tidy example, but whats scaring me is 194xxxkm...

Personally, I'd go the H6.

6cyl torque would be far better for a family wagon IMO. Plus, it's an 05, and it has better clearance then a Liberty, so lifting babies/strollers in and out would be easier?

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Yeah but it's been lowered, so clearance issues are negligable... I'm liking the price of the of niks obk, and that it's libertyesque I terms of height etc... Bu it does have 180xxxkm but that's not deterring me... A trade in option is a good one for us, as we won't have to be outlaying so much of our house finishing fund... But I'm still yet to see it... Might be, yep I'll have it...

Just really wanting to know if I did go a gt will it have less spec than my
B4... I'm thinking it might, but seeking higher power...

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Sedan... Ain't got no room for that! Lol and I've seen that thing it's epic, to say the least!

Gotta be a wagon... And doesn't have to be a turbo... Does the gt not the gt-b miss out on billsteins??

I don't think you would find a single backward step in upgrading to a gen4 gt or 3.0R.

Do you realise how much extra shit you need to carry when you have a kid or 2?

A pram (unless it's one of those shitty little wheel things) don't fold up small enough to fit basically anything else in a sedan boot.

Hi,

I cannot believe how freakin' massive prams have gotten!

Was with my mate, and got picked up by someone in a VY commodore, the pram barely fit in the boot!!

Cheers,

Nik

See, I have a B4 and a 2 year old girl... she has one of those little strollers, not a big massive pram... when she had a bigger pram, I had a Magna, so the boot was quite decent, but still was a struggle to fit groceries in the boot while that big pram was in it...

I suppose if we were having another baby, then we need another baby seat and would need a 2 seater stroller, so yeah, bigger car...

I'd prefer a Foz, just coz, but an OBK would do too... but my preference would still the be Foz GT

And also, on the plus side, at least you know Niks OBK has been looked after.

cheers for all your input guys...

wagon for a few reasons... one pram and associated parafinalia... plus i am a photographer... so i always have some sort of kit bag in the car... plus their will be times when we head away for a picnic etc etc and need all of the above ( ok prob not camera gear, but hey, its usually when i dont have it some shit goes down) and eskies and dog...

Foz boot is just too small i reckon... looked at one when i had my 98 Heritage Gen 3 wagon... heritage ate it for boot space... plus i like to be low...

Don't like be to high? Lol!

But you have a point, the OBK boot space would be better than the Foz. Also depends on which pram you get I guess.

Thats alright then... they fold up pretty well, not as small as a simple stroller, but not as big as the crazy ones... I was looking at one of them on the weekend, but didn't like the 3 wheels... needed something more stable for my little one... she is all over the place in her stroller
