Lucky indeed. One of the perks working for the council I guess.

I am desperately looking for another job though. Something I can make a career out of. I want to buy a house.

Proper ones by a private company/contractors I have heard can earn up to about $45 an hour... When I do traffic control at work, I don't get anything extra.

Yeah it's good money, but one of the MOST BORING jobs ever. I seriously couldn't be forked standing for 12 hours straight... Boring as all hell. Look into working at a pub or something? Get your RSA and RCG and you could be earning about $20-$25+ as a bartender. Not difficult work and you learn about alcohol, mixes, cocktails, etc.

But you'll be making money doing something sort of simple. Being on traffic control, you deal with people too. Inconsiderate, rude, in a rush, completely blind bunch of fuckwits sometimes too.
