Not sure how much bad luck was involved coz they got hammered. We even had a goal disallowed

 

I reckon Sydney are going to be strong this year for sure. You could definitely argue that Smeltz, Carle, Janko and Brosque are past their primes but with team of youngsters around them i think they've got a really balanced squad this year. Ibini, Gameiro, Gligor, Antonis and Triantis all look hungry. I hate to start the season with confidence as they usual end up stinking but i actually have a good feeling about where they could go with Graham Arnold and this new look team.

Yeah. We have been quite poor in the pre season. This year should be interesting :/

What do you guys make of the CL draw this morning?

 

Group A: Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Olympiakos, Malmo

Group B: Real Madrid, Basel, LIVERPOOL, Ludogorets

Group C: Benfica, Zenit St Petersburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco

Group D: ARSENAL, Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray, Anderlecht

Group E: Bayern Munich, MANCHESTER CITY, CSKA Moscow, Roma

Group F: Barcelona, PSG, Ajax, APOEL

Group G: CHELSEA, Schalke, Sporting Lisbon, Maribor

Group H: Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Athletic Bilbao, BATE Borisov

 

All groups are hard but D and E looks especially tricky. I (LFC) was really hoping to get Barca but i'll settle for Madrid. Bring it!

Interesting draws. I'm seeing Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona topping their groups. Benfica is gonna have a bit of a hard time if they don't play consistently well. Time will tell but it's a good draw, and is the first time Manchester United hasn't been in any European competition since the 1989-90 campaign.

Of course they did. I have always said that Moyes isn't the only one to blame. He was just an easy target.

Some players from last season are gone now so no need to worry. Awesome talent that the team now has so hopefully they can start taking advantage of it and converting their draws and losses into wins. Di Maria in, and hopefully we manage to attract Blind, De Jong and Vidal.

Falcao on a season long loan for wages of £346,000 a WEEK?? They already have Rooney on £300,000 a week. Lordy me.. the world has lost it's mind

I am really excited by him joining, and I think that the rumours of him transferring indefinitely after this season is a go as well. We've also managed to sign Blind from Ajax!

 

Defence is where they should've spent more of the money, but I will not argue against Falcao, Di Maria and Herrera. Although having Shaw, Rojo and Blind now should make a significant difference. Hopefully they all star in the next match against Queens Park Rangers. That'll definitely be a game I watch!

Pic isn't loading due to maintenance on Photobucket. I assume it's got something to do with becoming a member for Sydney FC? Money is a bit tight for me at the moment but I'm definitely gonna be attending every game. I can always sneak my way into the member seating area if there are free seats near you.

Not this one. But next year when my contract is coming to an end I will get the iPhone 6s or whatever it is. I make decisions on phones when I am ready for one.

It's a pretty good game. Melbourne are playing very well. I still can't stand Berisha.
