How often does Argentina play together as a team? When they do, how often do the players around Messi change?
 
Barcelona play together all the time and are in a smooth flowing rhythm. I think that helps alot compared to a national team with players coming from all corners of the globe every couple of years...

Germany played as a team, most that I saw were a group of players that are obviously close to the star of whatever league club they play for, thus the little hard work details were left to ... nobody!

I caught the last 20 minutes of the 1966 World Cup final when England beat West Germany, when SBS we're doing those classic World Cup match replays. It was so refreshing to see 22 blokes playing them game instead of flailing on the ground in simulated agony just because another bloke tackled him. No shin guards either. There wasn't any of the "playing for the foul/penalty". It's such a shame that it's such a big part of the game now.

Not yet. I'm in talks with the boss to see whether she can make the games or not. Wouldn't wanna pay and realise that we couldn't attend all the home games.

Appalling. No wins yet. He did say it'd take more than a season for him to prove himself, he made that statement after the first game in the Premier League if I'm not mistaken. At least he's being honest. If things don't go well for the team this year though, I'm quite certain that the owners will still keep him there.

 

At least we have managed to land a big transfer. Di Maria should do wonders in midfield.

Glad to see that Di Maria's signing is confirmed. He's come for £59.7m; a British record fee.

 

 

Now THAT is a top player. Played amazingly for Benfica, then Real Madrid. Hopefully he can bring some punch to a sloppy squad.

a good player yes but 60 million dollars good, i'm not so sure.

 

 

Aguero for 38 million, Costa 33 million, Sanchez 32 million, Mangala 32 million, Fabregas 30 million, Silver 30 million, Herrera 32 million, Markovic 20 million. i don't think if i'd be bragging about bringing him in for a transfer record coz thats a tad embarrassing.

May be, but he does perform whichever team he seems to go to. And whenever he isn't scoring goals he's definitely setting them up. I'm just happy that Van Gaal has gotten rid of a few players, including Nani for the remainder of the season. Nani is just way to inconsistent. He is either a machine, or he is completely dismal. There is no in between for him.

 

I'm sure the same can be said for a few others that have managed to squirm their way into the squad.
