Hey all, 

 

I have had my car for just over a year now, proud owner of a MY02 Liberty RX. I have only really started modding my car now as money has been a bit of an issue studying and what not. But now the money is coming in the car is coming together pretty fast. Located in Croydon, Melbourne only starting getting more into the forums and keen for some more meets.

 

Car is coming up to its 170,000km mark, have had to replace the clutch and flywheel as it was on its way out when i brought it, there are acouple in dints and scratches around the car that i plan on fixing soon getting it back to grade A condition.

 

Mods done so far:

- Plastidip front bar air intake

- Plastidip side mirrors

- Plastidip wheels (I have Works Emotion XD9's on their way this week)

- HID's in low beam and fog lights

- Japan Legacy rear lights

- Red brake calipers

- eBay front lip with STI badge

- B4 bonnet (awaiting to be sprayed to color match)

- Weather guards (need fixing as my rear doors hit them when opening)

- High flow muffler with 4" tip

- Red tow hook (probably taking it off, haven't decided yet)

- Front Grille swapped to one that came with bonnet (no idea what it is but I rather it)

- Red hellahorns

- Air intake sprayed blue

- Sony XAV701bt headunit (installed thanks to  Michael "mihai")

- LED white footwell lights

- LED white dome light

- LED blue cluster lights

- LED white instrument lights

- LED white door lights

- Wired in a second rear boot light

- Clear indicators

 

Mods to come:

- Work Emotion XD9 18x8 5x100 +35 in bronze are on their way this week

- Coilovers (haven't decided what ones to get yet)

- Roll guards

- Fix up the dints/scratches around the car

- Paint bonnet to color match

- MY03 Fog light covers

- Short shifter

- Rear window wing

- Valance side skirt kit

Yeah i know, so cut i work thursdays and would be free about 9:30 but by time get to burwood probs around 10ish maybe guessing to late?

Nar when i brought the bonnet it came with it, it kinda looks custom made though i rather it over the stock one so win win

I got Work Emotion XD9's in bronze, so ill see how they look but might end up powerdercoating them to gunmental/black see how they look, the bonnet i got is of the pre facelift so doesn't fit 100% and ill have to fibreglass before i paint to fix it up a bit make it fit nice

Tow hooks and Hellatones should be relegated to the same fate as the Dodo, Thylacine, etc (along with anything hanging from under the rear bumper)

Why is fuel filler flap black? That doesnt work.

Haha, going from comments i think tow hook shall be coming of soon Filler cap was just an idea was playing with, didn't exactly work only plastidip so easy removal

Going to say, this looks much more like a dedicated track car with all the black on blue. Very cool for a track car, not so much for a daily drive. Just whip the covers off the hellas and plastidip them black. Keep the tow hook for a track day, or sell it to me so I dont need to buy one for my car as part of race prep.

Coils arrived today!! Tyres being fitted on friday! A long needed low is finally here so keen. BUT im in need of a guard roller anyone have one i could rent/borrow/help me do it haha

I have taken it off now along with the tow hook, it was only plastidip so just peel of wanted to see how it looked.

 

Looks mad, are you going to paint the bonnet blue? or going to keep it racing car style?

Yeah bonnet getting painted soon along with front and rear bar as has some minor damage on them. Cleaning the car up now to make it neat, racer image going out the window
