Haha... thanks man... I just went in there and asked to look at it... the chick asked me if I was an NRMA member, I said I wasn't, because NRMA get 25% discount this weekend... she told me she will see if she can get a better price for it, went to the comp and said yeah.... ummm... you can have it for $60... I just asked "Are you serious?", she said yup, so I grabbed it and done... repco tools now...

How is it anti-religious to recognise that dude can't rightly use both hands freely in most churches I ever stepped into?
Nailed it! Nice one

They either give me trade or nrma when I come in and pay cash, instead of using dads account

I was hoping he'd rubbed his cock on it first, and she just halved the price, as he'd already doubled the amount of 'tool' in the box.

Yeah you don't need to be a member to get nrma discount.

Yeah she asked if I was a member, I said no, then she said she'll see what price she can give me... happy with around 60% off... LOL!

Nah Nik, only you can get your (dic)counts that way...

Shows how much of a rip off those places are. They don't sell anything without making money, 'computer says no', they can drop sixty points and still be making money.

They are killing smaller businesses though, because people are more and more expecting a discount, and more and more confident to ask for one. Shit. When you can get a grand off a TV at Hardly Normal just for asking the question?
I mean... C'mon son.
Is it a sweet deal? Or are you just feeding the devil. Don't you feel bad for old Trevor Morris who was brought up to never quibble over money at the local hardware? Who just got shafted $90 for being an honest bloke?
I do, Australia. I DO.

The mark up is more than you think nik
Yeeeeah, not sure you read my post right.
Point is, they put a mark up so high (150%++), that they can drop down by a massive amount, so it's a perceived discount - but they are still making a corporately accepted profit - whereas a small business will mark the product to the extent that they can make that acceptable profit - not shoot for the stars with the idea of landing on a cloud.
If I dropped everything in our place by 60% we'd be broke in two weeks. They'd still be making money.
Also, because I love you guys;
