This forking piece of shite, motherfucking, cubt, arse licking, dick faced internet connection is forked. Bull$hit slow.

Trying to mark assignments from the LMS at work and the connection keeps wigging out.

 

 

Contacted a few ISP's for a new connection and got the same response from each. "You are too far from the nearest exchange for a reliable connection" Our current ISP responded with "If you were to apply now, we probably wouldn't connect you". I looked on the exchange map and we are bang smack in the middle of four exchanges.

 

 

What options do I have for a fast, reliable connection?

I'm currently paired to my phone but that's slow too.

The problem with being smack in the middle of 4 exchanges is you're not CLOSE to any of them. Broadband works best when you are close to an exchange. Sometimes if you're a bit too far from one exchange they put in an extender/repeater type device (RIM) that does not handle broadband at all.

I know people who have not bought a house because it was too far from fast internet. Way of life in Aus y0!

Is Cable available in your area?

 

Not too much else you can do if you are far from the exchange... if you were to stick with ADSL2...

 

Guessing you don't have foxtel?

I get decent internet for my area. 7mbps

Telstra dongle might work. Ring them and ask sort of speed you could expect.

Is it speed or reliability that's the problem?
