I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Why don't you take it? You're always telling us how you hate working in your office? So if you get the same as what you're on now, and they refuse to budge on an increase whats the issue?

I do hate the people I work with here, and sometimes the work is shit, but this new place is a harder role... but they are still paying peanuts for what they want... much more corporate too...

 

I guess I'm used to where I am and know the work, and I'll be up for a pay rise in about 3-4 months for sure.... plus NZ ski trip with the company, but this new place is offering same pay, no pay rise till next year obviously and yeah, harder work, not necessarily more challenging, just more work, like starting things from scratch

Haha... well I didn't go seeking this job, agent came to me, I said sure, why not... told her what I'm on now... went for the interview, wasn't impressed, but went along with it, then they come back with offer of what I'm on now... wasn't too keen on the job in the first place, more corporate and much more work.... which means less GT time... :(

Is there better opportunity to get promoted / more money quicker by doing the hard yards, then if you done the hard yards at your current job? 

 

I wouldn't move for the same coin as what I'm on though, I'd be asking for at least 5-10k more to move.

Not by the sounds of it... they were a bit dodge in the interview it seems, from what I heard from a friend who is going for the job as well... they told me it is a senior/lead role, which is what I wanted to hear, but job spec is more of a normal test analyst role, which is why i asked them... and my friend asked the same question, and they told him it is not a lead role, just senior role, and they already have a test lead... wtf? They didn't tell me there was one... they said I'd be a test lead... so don't like the chances of promotion over there... not chance of it where I am either... flat structure here...
