Awesome bulid....I had AVCS issues as well in my build 1...and it continued in semi build 2 and into final build 3....

Build 1: Previous workshop hacked my AVCS cam gears and really....found out later they HACKED my build 1 completly.....dodgy as! ( HP...........F)

Build semi 2: New workshop...Build 1 was fixed but AVCS problem continued intermittenly but then lifted my head with E85 ( used oem studs in build 1)

Build 3: Continued with workshop and did a full build from the start...AVCS returned on run in tune.....Replaced everything like you did, intake cams gears, cam sensors, checked timing, checked voltages, cleaned out old OCV solenoids, checked cams.. etc etc and in the end was the OCV solenoids...

Sometimes it would be best to sacrifice AVCS all together and go old skool.....there's nothing wrong with no AVCS........oh well...maybe next time... :dash2:

As with all these types of builds....$$$$$, patience, and determination with a good workshop...and by going by the photos....its the same workshop I used and still use....and my engine is still going strong til this day....

Also help from Mr. Phil Lowe also helps heaps....

Goodluck and all the best....

Justin

Just checked out your beast on club.lib nice work! very similar to my goals, i was even looking at the ATP Garrets for some more boost!

One would expect that with the addition of bigger injectors, bigger turbo, bigger cams, bigger intake ports, bigger exhaust ports and a heavy foot that your fuel usage would go up. But no!

I used to get an average of 11.9 - 12.5 L per 100 kms now I'm getting 7-8...

Hey man,

Are those trips standard in that HU or is that a program?

Also lol at 7.8, I hardly get that in an NA on highways. Will be good when you find out the true consumption.

picked up some eyelids from yahoo.jp a few months back and finally got round to painting them. Still need a clear coat on top, but i might try them matte like my front lip first.

Also picked up a meguires headlight polish kit, so i'll do them this week and get the eyelids on asap.

Do you have some more pics? Particularly a full frontal one?
They look good in those shots, better than a lot of other dodgy ones ive seen put on cars

Looks mint, some you see cover too much of the lense but these look perfect.

Make sure you have them stuck on well I've heard of them coming off on the freeway.

Look great.

Have you looked into retro fitting HID/Projectors?

I was thinking of doing it, seems costly for such a purely aesthetic mod, but improves the look x10.

Yep, projectors are on my "after everything else" list... Although my passenger side headlight assembly is cactus so i will probably just get an entire aftermarket set...

My research suggested it was safer to get OEM assemblies retrofitted than buy aftermarket assembly, as some of the aftermarkets don't fit snuggly. Price worked out similar aswell.

Have you seen any decent aftermarkets on SHs at meets? All the ones for sale seemed tacky, not a fan of obnoxious DRLs.
