Just got dragged into the office and got told I need to take holidays soon. Found out that when I get my long service leave at the start of next year I could take 7 and a half months of work

That's the catch that I don't understand either. Like you posted a few pages back, how the fork are you meant to get experience if no one gives you a job in the field? I guess you've just gotta give them as much as you can that relates to whatever position you're applying for even if it mildly touches upon it if you know what I mean.

 

I'm getting the same vibe from the applications I put in for various places... It's seriously killing my life at the moment.

Oh I take a day off here and there. But being a family business and with the industry we work it didn't become convenient to take a holiday. In the 10yrs I have been here I can count 3 holidays I have taken a week or more off for.

Haha... all good man... yeah I got the job... its a finance company called Orient Capital, part of the Link Services group... which deals in Shares and Superannuation, so should be boring, but meh, it is a step up, a bit better pay and will be working with a good friend of mine, and another guy I used to work with too... so yeah... I start on Monday

Haha... yeah I know man... but it is leave I didn't take when I could have... LOL... but nice... that plus 2 weeks pay should be in my bank tonight... I look forward to checking my balance in the morning...
