That looks real nasty. I missed the re-run. I've been out all day. Spewing.

I read that zero cameras captured the incident? That footage was taken by a spectator.
Crazy accident and I echo others' sentiments - hope he pulls through.

I'd say they're keeping the point of view footage from the on board camera (which every car has so we know there has to be more official footage) to themselves for now. I'd also seriously doubt any claim that they didn't have official track side footage of the incident, it's more likely just a typical F1 blackout
i'm sure more video will be release at some point but not until they've done their investigations etc
Not that it's entirely relevant, but here's footage of Bianci crashing at the SAME spot last year. Spooky

I think the green flag we can see is indicating the end of the 'exercise caution zone'. So when the drivers pass it they know they're past sutil's car.
Any crash under those conditions (Sutil's crash), the track should have been put under full course yellow.

Vettel’s No 1 no more
Understandably given the trauma of Sunday in Suzuka for all the teams and drivers, one fact that got lost is that Sebastian Vettel’s reign as world champion is finally over. Mathematically, he cannot win, 127 points behind with 125 remaining.
It’s fair to say he had a decent run. Four consecutive drivers’ titles is a feat managed only one other driver: his great hero, Michael Schumacher. Vettel was champion for more than 1400 days, holding an iron grip on the championship he won in Abu Dhabi as a tearful young man in 2010.
But as they say, all good things have to come to an end. The German can only hope a beleaguered Ferrari put him on top again.

So bit of a boring race, but it looks like this new track could become cool in the coming years.
How was rossbergs effort. 40sec+ off the pace after an epic oops (seriously, what was he thinking) to 2nd place. While it seemed to be easy on the rubber (maybe they should have bought in SS an S) for all drivers, top effort
