I know right, haha.

Yeah mine fade stopping quickly from 100kph, with a really bad grinding noise. It's got shitty cheapish pads in my car now, that's partially the problem.

Rears bolt straight up just remove the dust shield to accommodate the larger rotor. Also you have to grind a slight groove in the rear for the brake line entry as the Gen4 one comes in 90 degrees different. I have a caliper at home right now with this mod done. I can send you a pic tomorrow if you want to see whats needed.

Yeah that would be great if you could, just so I know what I need to do.

Can I use a gen 4 front brake shield or do I just cut the lip off my current shields?

Front sheilds dont get touched. Only the rears need removal or modification. Removal is easier.

Ah right, good to know. Yeah I'll just remove the rear, it's not really needed anyway.

Have you got a wrx master cylinder and booster, or is it not really needed?

Only single pot to twin pot I suppose

One front caliper has the same amount of pistons total as before on my car and the pedal feel is only marginally different so not needed imo

Sweet, makes it an easy swap over.

I'll let my pads wear down a little bit more.

Very nice man. A worthy upgrade. You should definitely feel the difference. I've gotta stop procrastinating and get my spare parts up for sale...

I thought I took more photos, but any who.

Install was easy everything lined up and went well, alignment is perfect now, Steering is a fair bit heaver but I think a wrx or sti pump would fix this maybe.

So much better to drive on the street now, it's not as go cart spec as I read/people told me. Very happy :)

Also picked up an oil cooler and some braided line from reevesy tonight, so I might even to do
Write up on that. I'll put it in the build thread at Least.

Gt gen 4 wheels will be going on tomorrow night, and an alignment on Thursday (if I can book in)

Dude,

10/10 for effort in this car build! Fantastic to see the young blokes get hands on and tackle things themselves. It's the only way to learn!

Keen to know how much of a difference the steering is over the next week or so.

Good work.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Is it the 2.7 rack or 2.2?

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Cheers mate! It helps having access to hoist and tools though, would be screwed with out them.

Haha yeah, I'm either buying a already covered one and puting the good bits in it or turboing mine. Just see how it all pans out

Can't wait for the new wheels, should look pretty good I think.

Keen to know how much of a difference the steering is over the next week or so.

Good work.

Cheers, I'll let you know.

Makes negotiating rouderbouts easer, if you had two hands on the wheel you don't need to cross arms

It's a 2.2 rack

quickrack will always be tighter and harder to turn.. just by design.

Dont bother swapping pumps over.
