For example if a customer buys a product for x price at y date and it comes on sale a few days later. They arn't intitled to a refund for the difference right?

Don't think they are entitled to it, unless the exact same item is found elsewhere for cheaper, that is a real thing.

 

Otherwise it's just store policy. Big chains wouldn't argue I wouldn't have thought.

I know Good Guys advertise it. But in WA at least it isn't bound by law.
