Yep. The next 6 weeks will be a whirlwind of awesome mayhem
My advice - constantly pester your bank/solicitor/real estate agent to ask for everything they require (documents, insurances, etc).
I was always asking what comes next and what I need to provide for the next step to progress. They kept on giving me hours notice to do a job that needs a day or two! Pricks!
Settlement was less than a month though haha

All good, I figured it out.
Simon, call me back you cubt.
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

I met with her 2 times to sign stuff, she organised the rest.
Buying a house was easy

Also. We are thinking of adopting another Doberman..... Just a few months younger than Roisin..... Dunno if it's the right thing to do though, I'm really happy with the one obedient and well behaved dog..

6 weeks / 42 days is standard by law.

Good.

Fark, that is shit.
If I purchased a house I would want the keys 5 mins before I purchased it. 6 weeks would have me killing shit.

HAHAHAHA
It usually takes 6 weeks.
Mine was less than a month to get it done before Christmas. Literally with 4 hours to spare before everyone went on holidays.

Conveyancing, insurance, waiting periods, releasing mortgage from vendors bank, inspecions (pest, building, agent - if going to a lease), stamp duty, solicitors, blah blah blah.
I felt like I was constantly on the phone for our whole settlement period!

T+3 trading makes me angry enough as it is! haha. I sold some shit Monday - because of T+3 I won't get funds until after close of trading today (generally funds available day after T+3).
