Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

Replacement stock intercooler.

Original one looks like there was a dance party held on it.....

S/H replacement from Japan. Only had a dozen or so bent fins that straightened out almost 100%. Coat of satin black for good measure.

Nice.

Black on white is putting me to sleep though. Any plans for the colour scheme?

Would there be a significant difference between TCP Auto and Prova mufflers in your opinion Mark? I am starting to like the oval look.

It would come down to internal construction and materials used.

I had TCP mufflers on the Gen4 and apart from some minor issues getting them to sit straight, quality was good. Im yet to get a Japanese muffler that didnt fit spot on first time though.

Thanks for that. That's the only issue I've had with my TCP Auto mufflers as well, although Chris from Best Mufflers told me it's usually the Xforce stuff that I've got that doesn't always come spot on which might add to the issue. How did you go about getting it fixed? Exhaust place to cut/weld where necessary?

Yep, that's what forums are for Mark, free flow of opinions and ideas. Thanks for taking it easy and not going all keyboard warrior.

Wasn't inferring it looked bad, just wanted to know if you were decided on the black on white or still playing with colours. White is a such a blank canvas to play around with, and we seem to be seeing so much black on white straight from factory at the moment, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW etc.

So no splashes of colour at all planned? Not even wheel nuts? Ah well, I will admit it does highlight the brake colour a lot.

I was able to play with hanger positions to get it "acceptable".

Exactly what forums are for. :)

IMO a white car, dark wheels always looks super clean and thats what I want. The splash of color is the brakes, may go red lug nuts to match......

That said, I am seriously contemplating a set of wheels Ive found that are a polished lip and light grey centres.....

Mark is the splash of colour.

I'm gonna get in contact with Chris and see whether he can book me in to get things done properly. I have tried mucking around with the hanger positions and whilst the mufflers aren't touching the bumper any more, I still notice it each and every time. It plays on my mind.

Must fix!
