Painting them and leaving rim silver/chrome? I'm a bit indifferent, they don't really look like an aesthetic improvement over your current rims.

Current rims are and were only ever temporary. Only one way to see which is why I go through so many rims....

Any rim that is on your car, is only ever temporary. :P

True, and your current rims look good if you need to shop around.

Couldn't resist seeing what those rims look like on a car.

Spoiler

I think they are going to suit the Gen3 nicely and fill out the guards with some 225/40/18's.

Current rims will be gone in a few weeks time and some gunmetal ADVAN RS will be taking their place in 17 x 7.5 +48.

Make an account.

Get your part numbers, go to oem catalogue at subarugenuineparts.com and paste them in under Subaru parts.

Add to cart.

Proceed to checkout and follow prompts.

Sorry to hijack thread Mark.

I said this before and got flamed.

Be careful using Subaru USA.  CAREFUL being the word. USA cars are built in the USA . They are not from Japan !

Opposed forces DOESNT and I repeat DOESNT use vin numbers for the parts.

Subarus parts catalogue does. Subaru USA states they cannot the parts are right without a domestic vin number.

Just be really careful ordering .

What parts? As I'm aware some USDM interior parts are different to AUDM and JDM, but is there any particular area Aussie's should be aware of, eg. intake manifolds and exhaust parts (due to differing emission regulations)? I've used Subaru Genuine Parts for external cosmetic parts and had no worries, as the parts were JDM (said so on the box).

Sorry to hijack thread Mark.

No drama's, happens often. :P

I use SubaruGenuineParts for clips, interior trims, weatherstrips, engine parts, etc. Most of the items I receive from the USA say made in Japan, a few made in Canada. Its pretty common sense as to what parts are standard across all Subaru's and even if made in the USA will be the same. If youre unsure do some research or ask. Its not hard.

Finally got through a full tank without disconnecting the battery.

Combined driving with a few squirts (everyday) thrown in saw 10.4L per 100kms. Im pretty happy with that.

That's very good man. I've reset my statistics last fill so I can properly log mine. We'll see how the results go, although this season I have made use of the heater often.

Fill and calculate yourself is the spot on method. ;)

Gen 3 doesn't have one anyway for fuel consumption? I'm consistently getting between 9.7l/100km - 10.7l/100km from the 2.5....

I use an app on my phone and compare it to the trip computer. I reset both. ;)
