Fitting centre first and later headers so I can gauge any difference with each one.

Centre prepped and primed for black paint after new flange welded on and fitting this week.

I'll be making enquiries as to ceramic coating the headers.

Had my mate weld a new flange on the centre (corrosion on the original one) and fitted this afternoon.

Slightly deeper and slightly louder = immensely happy. :D Its 2.5" piping for those curious.

I was suprised to find that when we took the oem centre off, the muffler baffling was completely corroded and totally loose when shook. Never noticed any rattling when on the car.

Mark, let me know when you can help please...

Will do, just busy atm with little spare time.

Sweet job!

The stock resonator after the cat is totally useless anyway. I had mine chopped out just out of boredom to see how it would sound. Made like barely any audible difference, except the hiss at WOT is gone. Still can't hear the exhaust over the engine noise at full swing. Man the EJ206/8 is a LOUD motor.

I think the cat in the primary dump and the centre pipe contribute alot to sound cancelling. The TT is fairly quiet with a big exhaust as it is anyway. My old GTB had 2.5" dumps and full 3" mid/diff section to a Fuji muffler with no resonator and a 200 cell cat. Wasn't obnoxiously loud at all.

You'll have to post up a sound bite for us! What type of muffler are you running?

Shame on the auto part..

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
