I have removed and cleaned them on all doors and they're all in exceptionally good condition. It probably happened prior and the pad was replaced at that time but the damage already done.

Yep a good chemical clean a rub , etch prime and colour straight on top for a bullet proof coating.

Now I look at it, seems so. Time will tell when I fit it. If I have to remove for oil/filter change so be it.
