Ive seen that wing on Yahoo. No covers for mounts and badges are Ebay generic items.

But yeah if that pic is showing the bottom side then no the filter holes is not on the right side....and seeing the sides lipped up makes me think that is the bottom?
Filter is on the drivers side...sump plug on the passenger...so yeah just seems off as said

Que?
Every Subaru I've been under has both on drivers side.
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

My recollection was the two rear mounting screws were further from the sump plug -- but its clear from Sam's picture above they're pretty close.
Only issue will be grasping the filter - maybe it protrudes through the plate an inch or so.

and weeps oil from multiple places

No issues with grasping the filter, I use a filter socket.

After recent discussion about the engine undertray, I purchased one. Was thinking just oem but seeing as all current exhaust parts are Prova, may as well go with a Prova tray.
I was thinking the same thing, especially as a kangaroo cracked mine and it's now furry. Might check out the beatrush ones though

Though you obviously havent seen may subys?
Twin scroll/207 and 257 sumps all on the other side

But if you actually read what i wrote youd see that i said "if the pic is showing the bottom side" ie the side facing the road
If thats the case it obviously isnt so all is good

H6 is side on, I believe?
Hah, nah... I don't work underneath them lol!
I guess I learnt something as well.
But being a stock Gen 3, it should be the same side for both.

Filter socket makes it so much easier. You can get adjustable ones, I just have the one that suits Subaru oem filters.
