Greedy, extremely profitable, multi-national company ($800 mil profit last year) wanted to add a few more $$ to their bottom line and sacked all maintenance in favour of re-hiring them through a different company at a lower rate with less favourable conditions.

Were fighting it. See where I end up in a few weeks / months time.

Sorry to hear that Mark, never good when these people try to think of cost saving measures. Often ends up much the same way

Hope you land on your feet, whether its with the same mob or a new employer

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

Thanks.

One a good note though, just got back from an early surf down the coast and the GTB feels smoother and a little more lively after the work done. :)

fitted some Dixcel type M pads.

Interested to hear what you think of these Mark.

I just fitted some $30 Hong Sung (Korean) pads to those discs I got off you. So far I have got my 30 bucks worth.

Who know's......

As of yesterday I am unemployed......

Oh crap.

Hope it all works out for you mate. I'm sure it will, trades people can always get work.

Dixcels kill it over the Bendix GCT I had in there on initial bite and progressive braking. Definitely recommended but you get what you pay for.

Dixcel pads cost $20 more than the 4 pots themselves. :sarcastic: Luckily the rears came with near new Dixcels from Japan. :)

Yeh sucks but I'll get another job. Wouldn't mind a few months off though to do the Chev. :D

Was looking through your brake thread the other night for inspiration, easily a secondary source of income if need be, but no doubt your Union will get you a sizeable payout.

Disability industry is about to explode, go get a maintenance gig with a NFP, chill out and earn tax free dollars.

Brakes were all done at work. ;)

We have been paid out our entitlements but would rather bank that if possible.

NFP?

Just noticed while trying to figure out where you posted that pic of your injector plug, you have the bigger VF33 primary.

Yep VF32 and 33.

Suprised as I always thought only the D/E's in 5MT got them. I would have thought you'd have had a 25/27 same as me being an AT. If not that, a VF31 primary at least (same compressor inlet/outlet size as VF25).

Wonder if it came with them out of the box?

Shit go about work Mark.

A little surprising as most places up here (food industry) are cutting right back on external contractors and going back to inhouse maintenance crews.

typical stupid bean counters / management ... they always make a case for 'the other method' to be better.  Then change their minds a few years later when it doesn't work out.

No consequences for screwing up in the first place, though.
