How much did you pick all that up for Morgs?

Morgs/'dam, do you guys have drafting software? If not, do you guys have access to hard copies of it?

I've read dozens of reviews. Apparently it's an amazing touch screen. With Win8, you need it, too

Yep. I love Mac hardware. It's the software I hate!

 

So I was stoked when I found this wrapped in a full aluminium case.

Sweet. What type of software? AutoCAD? What version/s?

Sweet. I'll get onto getting that software then. I'm gonna practice drafting at home, both with AutoCAD and CivilCAD (which is what I use at work now).

 

I concur with your Mac hardware. It's awesome. I'm not against the software either though. I'm running an iMac and love it to bits man, it's an awesome bit of technology. I just think the prices are a bit steep that's all.

Ive never really used win8 until I had a go at dads Surface a few weeks ago. With the touch screen, it's actually really cool!

Yeah it should be good for what I need it for. If not I can always upgrade to bigger SSD.

 

The ASUS I was interested in had a bigger cache. 16 or 32 - can't remember. Would've been better but this Dell has heaps more options which won me over.

I would personally take an SSD over more ram but 1080 screen and backlit keys are boss.
