Yeah. You really need UEL's for a decent sound.

I've had no issues with the various whiteline bushes in my car.
Do you dare argue with the SubyDr?

Well I've read good and bad about superpro and whiteline so I wasn't too worried about trying either of them. If I have any trouble with the diff bushes i'll be able to replace them a hell of a lot more easier since I have made some tools do it.. The bushes I took out didn't look too bad actually but the diff still jumped up and down a fair way and so far it is much better to drive! Even going down hills with the cruise control on, it doesn't jerk around when the cruise control tries to sit in between on/off throttle.
Still have the front member bushes to replace but I might try get a cross-member from the wreckers and use the press at work, then swap it over.
If I have any issues i'll be sure to let everyone know!

We need a like and dislike button in here STAT!!!!!
Well done on the work with the headers. Looks like a lot of work went into them. They do however, sound nasty. They might 'soften' up after a few hundred mms of driving, but being EL headers, they will never sound any good as compared to the UEL ones. Maybe bolt a low mount turbo on. If its going to sound like a Mitsi, might as well make it go woooooooossssshhhhhchuchuchuchuchuturbochatter.
As for the HU, I'm with MArk on this one.
As soon as i mentioned 300kw I was in trouble

Ok.. I'll weigh in.
Don't understand what would be wrong with aftermarket bushes unless there's some fundamental problem with using polyurethane in those rear diff bushes (which may be the case -- I don't know).
Enlighten us, Dr Suby.

Other than creating nvh and potentially wearing out quicker I can't really see a problem with them.
well, since they're such an arse to replace, I imagine that would be a problem!

Or an sc12 or 14 supercharger could be fun!

cheers Suby - The design amount of 'give' makes sense in this context.

Aftermarket bushes don't remove flex, they only reduce it - you'd replace them with solid metal parts if you wanted zero flex!
People who use WL (or similar) are usually trying to decrease flex, or increase rigidity. In my case, I own a boaty Forester. To make it handle better on the street, I've installed numerous WL bushes and it's got the results I was looking for. It's comfortable for my wife as her daily and I'm easily on 3 wheels turning 90 deg into a driveway The way I see it, car companies spend big dollars designing comfortable, everyday parts. Performance part stores wouldn't spend even more money researching the same things if they weren't upgrading these same parts. They set out to find weaknesses in factory parts and find ways to make them better.
You mentioned race cars... WL is an affordable performance parts store. Those 'gurus' you speak of would definitely be better off going for something specifically designed for high powered track use.

Dunno about that. Many 'performance parts' are designed to relieve people of their hard-earned and nothing more.

I do notice in your signature Mark (Crusin) that your agree.
I agree with some of your comments at times, others I dont (not relating to this topic).
There's some bushes of WL I wouldnt use in certain areas, the drive train being one of them. When I replace my bushes I will be using oem ones for that.
I do have WL rear camber bushes in and would recommend them for their purpose.
