I refuse to change the suspension in my car due to what replacement items like whiteline do to them. My WRX was a pig on the street suspension was uncomfortable (WRX seats don't help either).

I forgot to mention that I also had to cut 2 pieces of 25*25*3 rhs about 200 long, all thread though both ends, because not matter what the new bushes wanted to go in on an angle. Used these bits of rhs to force the bushes in straight (tightening whichever side was further out) then used the puller from before to go the rest.
Anyway, here's a pick if anyone wants a look, that short piece of 25mm rhs hide a slight bend in it after I was done, man those bushes are hard to move!
Also after reading up more on the 'raspy' exhaust note, I'll be replacing the stock STI resonator with a normal hotdog around 500-600mm long. Found a fair few yanks that had the same sound as mine (especially if using an STI exhaust) and that seem to fix it.

Well the diff bushes are still going well, still a bit of on/off throttle play though!
Picked up some 17*7 lenso wheels today though, bit scratched (for $100, cant complain!) but going to fix them up a bit and spray black (thinking satin, thoughts??).
Almost finished the headunit install too, still a bit of a gap on the LHS but the cup holder hole is virtually gone. Maps and gps all work 100%, just have to model up the button and get it 3D printed.. If anyone wants to do this get in touch with David (96svx.dc@gmail.com) for a transplant harness, and ebay for a gps antenna, was pretty easy in the end. Sound isn't the greatest but ran a subout rca for when I find an underseat sub one day.

Not a bad job on the retrofit. Personally I think it would've looked better with the aircon unit below and the head-unit above

Except the a/c control has a curved corner, that fits the trim perfectly.
The length of the wiring might also be an issue.

Something to stir up the 'turbo vs n/a' haters heh heh. I haven't found anyone around here (except in the states) whose used these so I'm going to give them a try! No need for reminders on how much more/easier turbo's make power (I've been there and done that..).
Will be interesting to see what they're like (for $340, they are the '1500' grind btw..)

Just double checked the paypal receipt, damn close to $340 including shipping both ways ($87AUS for auspost to send and $215US to grind and send back).

Finally got those wheels mounted, but....
After painting and getting tyres fitted I went to bolt them up, wheel studs were too short... Only had about 7.5mm thread engagement! DOH!
So after almost selling the wheels, I ordered a set of 70mm studs from GKTech, cut them down to 55mm (in a lathe, no hacksaw stuff...) and swapped them in.
If anyone ever needs to install new wheel studs, get one of these ball joint tools! I got it online from supercheap auto ($35 shipped) and it worked perfectly! Then I greased up some washers and pulled the new studs in with an ordinary nut).
No movement on the engine front, still waiting to order the gasket set..

A hammer works well to swap them out too . Looks good though

Wasn't too sure how the intercooler piping (2.5") would go under the radiator but so far it isn't too bad. Hangs a little lower than hoped but I have not scraped anything yet.
