18V 30ft lb impact drill didn't even look like budging it either.

No wonder! One of my lower bolts took a lot of time with a 570 Nm impact wrench haha

Here's a before and after.
P.S ignore the terrible rashed up rear rim. The tyre on the wheel on the car was disgraceful so had the put the spare on

So after finding out that I will not be able to run the Enkei RS05RR's in 8.5" wide without spacers, I've been on the hunt for for a different wheel. I don't want the headaches of trying to fit anything wider than 8.5 and there are very few wheels that I like, none if which clear brembos.

My dilemma is, keep the wheels I have or get 1 of the following 2.

From what I'm told, Very rare 18x8 + 53

Sort of rare, just not as common as the 7.5 +55. I could of bought 3 sets of them by now. :P

BBS are the same width as stock STi rims so dont see the point unless you just want to change wheels only and not run wider tyres. You like gold wheels on silver cars?

How much roughly would those 18x8 +53 rims cost landed here, and what were they originally fitted to?

235/40-18 opens up a bit more choice of tyre, plus they are nice and close to the std diameter.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

First time I've come across a set in those specs. Been trying to find the JDM Forester STi Enkei's in 18x8 +48 but no luck yet.

The BBS wheels aren't true S402 wheels but are they exact same design.

I'm after something a little wider just to fill arches, particularly the rear, now that it's been lowered.

I already have a buyer for my current enkei's so the 18x8 essentially won't cost me anything.

jdm spec?

Indeed.

I think they hadn't been snagged yet because the add listed them as Impreza STI wheels and the PCD wasn't mentioned. The 18x8 +48 were only released with PCD100

Top stuff man! They look freaking sick and should suit your car perfectly. Gotta love STi rims. ;)

I love the wheels I have but i find them just a little too narrow, so stocked I found a wider set. unsure whether to have them painted black or the standard shadow chrome colour

The only thing is that shadow chrome is obviously more expensive than regular paint. I bought a set of shadow chrome STi rims in December last year and got them painted in the same charcoal grey that the STi rims come in. They look shit hot.

Bloody oath. That's the only missing part!

I have a feeling I might have to sell my SpecB rims to get the remaining cash. I didn't want to, but I've not been at work for the past two weeks due to getting quite ill and I still owe you a few hundred. I feel tight for not getting it to you sooner.
