I am 10x more terrible. I love DIY and doing stuff, but more carpentry than electrical, mainly because I'm scared of fucking it up, and considering my car is my most major asset at the moment it's risky. This install has taken about 3months of research so I knew when I did it I only had to do it once.
Might upload a DIY.

Car dropped off in preparation for inspection and to change engine numbers tomorrow. I should be getting it back tomorrow afternoon.

How is it Monday already
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,right off.

Good man. Liberty has a new 81,000 km engine. Was installed on Friday. Had the car Friday evening and have been driving it till last night. Dropped it back at his place to get a blue slip done (change engine numbers and what not) and I should have it back again this afternoon.
All positive and the thing runs perfectly now. No regrets.
Only catch is that the tow truck driver that got the car from the servo to my place gutter rashed my rim on delivery. He has agreed to get it fixed up. I was so pissed off when I noticed it...

Dude if someone has a 24 hour turnaround time on a complete engine swap, you'd want to let people know. Lol.

Tell me about it. One day to take it out, one day to put the new one in. I now have an engine I need to sell so hopefully there are buyers for one with possible head gasket failure and bent valves. Won't know for sure unless I take the engine apart.
