Without stepping on to many toes here.... But you are all in your in 20's and early 30's why not put in the hard yards now and set yourself up for later in life rather the worry about 'quality of life'
Yeah that's all well and good to be able to do what you want when you want now but I have seen a lot of people I've grown up with the same attitude and the majority are struggling with kids and renting houses with no financial security.
Obviously this just my opinion and not having a dig at anyone.
You can have both though. I left a very secure Defence job to study and work in a new field, at first it burnt me out but I worked to obtain the sweet job I have now. I'm 24, married and with a big bank balance. I'm working hard toset myself up still, but my work life balance isquite good, I work weekends and nights but atleast I'm not deploying anymore.
