Subaru's recently-revealed Forester tS will soon be joined by a new sibling in the Impreza line, with the company's Japanese headquarters offering a single teaser image this week of the upcoming WRX STI tS.

The 'tS' in the new special edition WRX's name stands for 'tuned by STI' - an odd name for an already STI-badged and developed model.

Taking a leaf from the BMW M3's book, the WRX STI tS will feature at least one major modification: a carbon-fibre roof. Beyond that, Subaru has offered little. The tS' availability in both manual and automatic form ('A-Line' in Japan) has been confirmed.
