Hi guys, hows everyones weekend going?

Having a lazy one in B)

Just watched the V8's on TV in Abu Dhabi. Its an AMAZING track, but is it just me or do new tracks like that the lack excitement of our tiny bumpy Aussie tracks? The wide tracks make the V8's seem slow, the lack of sandtraps less exciting and also the omission of any elevation make it seem tame in comparison. That said the F1's are pretty thrilling to watch there, so maybe its just the cars!

Oh and Ferrari World looks insane !

Been to an engagement party this morning and brought an Outback + trailer home full of stuff from Mrs' old place.

Someone came to look at the car. Had a few more to look at this afternoon but seemed pretty interested so here's hoping!

For a second I thought you were referring to the Outback...

I'm assuming this is the Excel, right? How much you guys hoping to get?

So Nik , have we got a price on freight of kegs yet ?

Any ideas on MDSC11 weekend ?

I would love to have been able to watch them! shame to hear that they looked a little boring though.

Yes that is correct, someone said Vagina.

It is always time for a beer. Just cracked my first.

Afternoon gents.

How are we all. Made some good progress today on STi conversion, stripped engine down to block, sending inlet manifold for sandblasting and powdercoating on Monday, have new timing belt, water pump, pulleys, all belts, thermostat etc etc. Once i get the inlet back, i'll start reassebling the engine. Just gotta paint some stuff now.

Cheers,
Shazza

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Some hole opposite the station in Strathfield. Hate the place, you get a lot of riff raff there.

But ya know, gotta catch up with the lads and that, so any place will do really. Just so long as the beer is cold and not diluted, I haven't a care in the world :)

I'm going to say a few weeks. As per build thread, theres a few bits and pieces i want to do to make the engine look all pretty first. I reckon i'll get the rebuild done in 1 day, only took me 1.5hours to strip it down to a block, so i can't imagine it being that much more difficult to reassemble. Still have to buy all new vacumn lines and shit, so a little bit more to do. I'm stoked, because i've yet to see a Gen 3 manual Heritage with an STi engine. Loving the leather + sunroof.

Here's some pics of Aussie Templars car who we tinted today.
20% all round.

Nice job, must be loving the cooler weather in your profession! Hard to believe it was 40+ last week this time...

You're right about the whole manual Heritage converion. Its nice to marry that luxurious leathery/sunroof goodness to a Rexy motor :diablo:

I tinted a car last week in 48 degree heat, direct sunlight and It was fucking bullshit, never again.

Fuucckkkkkk, I can only imagine how bad that would be :o Its bad enough opening the doors on a hot day only to be inundated by that waft of hot air pouring out of the cabin, let along getting in and lying in the cabin whilst tinting the windows for extended periods of time...

The worst thing was as soon as I would spray my slip solution on the glass to apply it, I would turn around get the tint, and the window was dry. So I'd have to respray it, put the tint on, but because it was so hot, the adhesive would bond with the glass straight away and it wouldn't slip into place. Had to redo 2 windows because of it.

Cheers,
Shazza
