Storm coming here

Well NER!!!

The pleides constellation actually has seven stars, but the six stars you see on our emblems represents the five companies that merged in the 50's to create the brand, largest star being the Subaru itself. Subaru in Japanese means 'unity' (I think?). Also, they cannot see this constellation in Japan. ALSO! the Subaru emblem is called 'Mitsurabushi' in Japanese - which means SIX STARS.

For a bonus point, someone tell me which year Subaru (first company in the world to use a Japanese name for the Automobile market) came to our shores?!

They all have either Nissan or Mitsubishi Electric on the components.

1989 is the first time we saw a Lib/Leg - but you'll want to go back in time to get to the first Subie over here.

1977 Subaru Brat (known as "Brumby" in Australia), a recreational vehicle with a two-seater cabin and a small cargo bed, is launched, long before crossover vehicles would become mainstream.
