Yeah, it was about 200 to remove/refit. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Then when I actually replaced them, I did it myself anyway. haha

We did a few day trips. We took a Tuk Tuk to Patong (the main city of Phuket). It was good for the day but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer. Beaches aren't that nice (compared to where we were staying), everywhere you went, people tried to sell you stuff, it was dirty, creepy and a little off putting at times. But good for the culture experience. Beware of the tailers. They are everywhere, and are freakishly good at remembering who you are! I don't know how they stand out on the street in the hot, humid weather in long black pants and a button up long sleeve shirt every day but they do and they'll greet you with a handshake, establish that you are from Aus, work in an office, and guaranty you won't get a cheaper cashmiere garment anywhere else.

Did an elephant riding tour at some place in Phuket Town (west side of the island). Was ok but was more like someone's property where they kept all these animals tied up and stuff. Sat on a buffalo and had an ox ride and had a cooking demo. Was pretty good and the people were heaps nice but I would've liked more of a elephant trek or something.








Also went up to James Bond Island. That was a full day trip. The bus picked us up and we went to the mainland. Stopping for a rubber tree plantation demo, monkey caves. You can feed them and they crawl all over you. It's pretty rad. Then you get on a long boat and go to a Muslim fishing village on water where you get a mad feed and a shop around. Weird how these people rely on you to visit their village to survive. The 'streets' are lined with stalls and old ladies sitting at them! You then trek over to James Bond Island which is some upsidedown rock formation which was in the movie, Man With The Golden Gun. Pretty cool. Also went on a canoe around the lakes with a guide. Good day that was.

I didn't see any ladyboys...that I know of! They were probably everywhere. In Patong, every second shop is seriously a massage place, with a dozen little Thai girls (i hope) out the front trying to get you in. Don't do this, go to your local beach and there are probably going to be a few stalls set up on the beach with Thai ladies walking around asking you if you want a massage. We didn't end up getting one of these but looked so much nicer! Though you just hope they wash or at least change the sheets on the beds occasionally! Try get one a fat man hasn't been lying on!




I didn't get sick once. Very full every day (daily buffet brekky) and a few stomach pains but after a massive crap you're good to go!
Katie got pretty sick early one morning but that was after a bottle of sparkling the night before...may have had something to do with it!



Your hotel should have heaps of brochures and stuff for you to check out. That's what we did. There will be someone there to tell you which are the best ones to go on.

It's restricted to 5psi at the moment, so doesn't go that hard. But it's a super fresh and healthy engine and hasn't missed a beat yet.

Why is it restricted you might ask?

I haven't put a walbro in yet, nor do I have a electronic boost controller, so that's why.

That will come in a few weeks.
By the way, has anyone had any experience with HDI boost controllers? Same company that makes Hybrid intercoolers.
