Everytime this Milo character opens his mouth on OzLiberty he's warning people how bad Subaru head gaskets are. I know the Gen2 2.5L had them bad but I was always under the impression Subaru pretty much fixed the issue in the Gen3's?
Sure, a HG can blow in any car at any time if you don't look after it. Same with any problem with any car. But I swear it's not as bad as he makes out...

Its a common problem for even Gen3s Morganus. I've had heaps of mechanics tell me that apparently they're a problem. I had one go in my car before i swapped the sti motor in. It's not like they're hard to replace.
Dunno about the earlier models though. Keep it running good oil, don't let it overheat and dont flog the **** out of everyday, and you'll be sweet.
Cheers,
Shazza
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

I've just heard for the Gen2 it is 'when', but for everything else, it's an 'if'.
Fortunately I looked after my Gen2 and it never happened.
HG's can fail in any car. I just never thought Subaru's from 01 onwards were known for it...

Remember the good old days when lots of things used these:
and we used to lick the top to see if they were working, or was that just me?
Can still remember the taste now.
Yes I used to do this hahaa.
This is mad.
Like a B0$$
That reminds me of the south park episode I watched last night where Randy gets testicular cancer and has to bounce on his sack to move around.

My uncle had the 02 outback limited 70k on it when he traded it in and Subaru said it had a decent headgasket leak, Subaru sucked at headgaskets on the 2.5L's
I guess it's just luck tho
Turbo 2.5's seem to be OK

I would settle for a 911 T, but I would really honestly try to stretch that much further for a GT2. Maybe a GT2 RS.

Is that gearbox out of a RWD or AWD porka ? (GT2 or 911 t), or something else? I am trying to work out what that box is that is bolted on to the side.
