Steaks. I love steak. I reveiew steak at lots at places. Yum. The way it is cooked depends on the cut. Porterhouse - rare. It cooks quicker than most cuts. Rib Eye - Medium. Due to the fat content and the bone, you need to make sure you cook it through a bit to melt the fat a bit and get the flavour from the bone. Scotch - Medium. As above due to fat content Wagyu - Medium rare at a pinch, but mostly medium. A good steak restaurant should be able to receommend the way you should have it cooked.

Tataki style beef is awesome. Especially if it is a high marble wagyu breed. The best steak restaurants wont even ask you.

Went to Rockpool Steakhouse at the Crown earlier this year, god damn. That is how you cook a steak. Awesome seat too, watching over the pass straight into the kitchen. It's better than a two bit live band for entertainment watching 10-15 of the best in their trade going at it over the grill. Effe masterchef.

Other good places in Melbourne are: The Meat & Wine Co, in Southbank (Queensbrige) Vlados, in Bridge Rd Richmond There are more, but these guys do it very well - not particularly cheap though!

I was disappointed with the meat & wine co. Me and the missus don't drink wine at all, and the attitude when I told them we wouldn't be needing the wine glasses was so poor that we ordered light and left quickly. Where's the pics Walts??? I love chicken burgers. Might make one for lunch.

Vlados was recommended but we never made it there. Shame. That's the third reco I've had now. We are back in June'10 so get ready. You pussies didn't pony up for a drink for the whole ten days I was there. Maybe that should tell me something? Haha.

Well I just moved house. All I can say is my car is the ultimate car. Load it up with heaps of stuff. On the trip back drive it like a race car and do skids. Normally if you have a performance car you need to get something practical with space to do the moving and the return trip is as crap as the moving trip. Man subies rock.
