Slimline ftw. Just go standard white and blue with some nice Perspex covers. Sooo, dropped past Docklands today to book the Lib in for a service and had a snoop around the yard, as you do. Saw a niceish (many scrapes etc) 05 WRX hatch. 26k from memory. Saw a very nice (06 I think) XS Foz, 60000klm for $30k, was very tempted, but then spotted something else. 07 Pearl White Lib Wagon (5mt) with 67000klm on the clock for $30k. Took it for a quick spin and it was nice, loved it! The updated models driving position is so much better with the telescopic steerer and the seats are very comfy. Might go back tomorrow for a longer drive. The sales rep indicated that he'll knock more off the price given that the front bumper has a scratch and my extreme displeasure at my trade in valuation ($8k)!! If I went for it it looks as though it'll set me back about $80 per week... So, all wise ones, thoughts on this model at this price?

Yep, just a 2.5... Decided that I don't need masses of power, just something with more room and comfort. Also wanted something that I could install my fancy HU into also. ;)

I thought 8k was a bit low too, but I guess this is the standard trade rate. I'm sure I could get more privately, but as if I can be fucked with that.

hmmm. Redbook indicates 8200 - 10100 @ 90000klm - 150000klm. Given that mine has 126000 klm, $8000 does seem a little low, not by too much but a little low none the less.

everything is up for negotiation!! The sale price of the new car has an amount that it owes them and the extra on top is their sticker price. Naturally the dealer tries to get everyone at full tilt, so any extra they throw at a trade in or reduction in sticker price reduces their profit.

You'd buy mine eh? Is that an offer?

One thing I did notice is that they have an 03 rx at their other yard with more k's than mine for $13400. That right there is a good bargaining tool.

It may well be an offer :) Though i wouldnt be able to go much higher than what they are offering? I have been looking around for something newer recently as my kays are getting high and i want to sell it before it gets to 200k. Yours would be a perfect candidate! :P

what sort of $$'s are you talking? I'd be selling as is (minus the stereo system but with the oem system put back in)... Could put the original wheels back on easily enough. It's got billies, rsk seats front and back (with not rips or wear) xenon conversion, mrt diff back, 294mm RDA slotted front rotors with B4 twin pots and bendix commercial pads (grippy), BBS rims, tint, 126000-ish k's, full Subaru service history, solid flywheel conversion, genuine Subaru towbar.... Also have oem rx rims with 70% rubber, oem seats, oem struts and a straight through centre pipe sitting in yhe garage.

HOLY shit... Just watched Paranormal Activities!! what an awesome fucking scary-ass movie. If you watch it...turn ALL lights off, watch it at night time with no distractions and the sound cranked up. It was filmed for $15k and its already made well over $100mil already.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I dont mind taking it with the standard RX rims if that brings price down?? Its probably way too unrealistic but if the trade-in is $8k, and if you're keen to get rid of it, hows $9k? An extra grand in your pocket?

Price wouldn't change regardless of what rims are on it. For the sake of a thousand bucks I'd rather just trade it. I reckon the dealer would go to 9 or 10 anyway as they said that they would keep it on their yard. Having said that though, I'll keep your offer in mind of it all goes pear shaped!

thats because the website is a free rough price guide, not at all an accurate price... you have to pay for one of those :P
