Ooohhh.. Just saw this one.

I agree with Alex. Tell them to go and jam it right up their arses. Fucking Autobarn fuckers. Bunch of retail wankers who pretend to know about cars. I hate it how they come up to you and say "You right mate? You need my assistance with anything?" No, I don't now fuck off. At least at Supercheap they leave you alone to browse their wares.

It's simple you fools - faulty product claim from a customer... "Replace or refund sir?"

this is why i don't like to shop in these big retail chains.

deadshit fuckers who don't have a clue.

naturally, any decent person worth their weight in salt, will try all avenues with a faulty product.

I mean, all they need to do is ask. You respond with what you do.

But then they try to bluff you with their false confidence.

It's one of my pet hates.

Mr. Buzz. Demand to speak with the manager. Indicate to him that the battery that was sold to you has dead cells. Its not about the fact that the battery will make 12v. It just won't hold charge.

Its reasonably common for batteries (Especially now moreso that they're manufactured in third world countries) to have dud ones.

Ask for a replacement.

Else..... break 'em off some.

I like Alex's first idea of throwing the battery through the shop front, Although you would be stuck there with a car with no battery, It would be worth it...

For squeezy, dud batteries are more and more common. Rain shit down on them like the clouds are made of assholes.

My B4 will be flat in 1.5-2 weeks. As long as I give it at least 1 good drive a week, its fine. 2 days is for loser battery's.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

If the indicator is black AND your car can't sit for 2-days without going dead, its definately cactus. Definately get AutoBahn to hook you up with a newy. My battery got to the point where it couldn't sit overnight without running out of juice so the NRMA replaced it under their three-year warranty.

Waltzie, once the battery opens the door for you, you'd probably be in possession of a few extras. 2 weeks seems pretty poor as well. I haven't driven the '78 in about two months and she fired straight up last night. ....pissy driving a seventies Subaru around paddocks? Awesome.

'78 FTW :)

But remember that the good 'ol '78 wont have the standing current draw of a modern car as it has no computers etc. to keep alive.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Took batt back to autobarns and was told (by their auto electrian staff member) it just needed charging (even tho the little window thing on the battery had a black dot in it, which goin off the label means "get battery checked"), pointed that out and told them I'd tried charging it, was told that it must be the alt. they checked the alt current (13.9-14.2) and boot light etc.... then said they'd charge the battery for me and to come back this arv and they'd check it again when everything was off.

Get the useless dead shit f*@kers to do the tests I described above. Anyone working the the auto trade should be able to do this with ease.

Then get them to follow Alexs' suggestion below.

Tell them to fist themselves.

I love the way the sales people there act as if you know SFA. Sometimes play with them! ;)

Is this battery a maintainence free Super Charge? Smooth top and a blue X grid sticker or similar?
If so, this type of battery must NEVER be boost charged, only trickle charged.
Normally these batteries give little trouble. I have them in both my cars.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Did the alt test this morn, doin the "off test this arv "when the new battery is charged". I only live bout 3 blocks away so isn't a drama gettin back there.

Pretty sure it is a maintainence free.... was the "best" one they had.
