Nice eyebrows. My mate has a dog similar to that, will have to find out exactly what he is and get some photos. I know that he's got a nice beard and eyebrows though, and a skirt which they keep nice and long during the cooler months and shorten it a little bit when it's warm.

Yeah, my girl is meant to have a much more traditional cut, but it's a bit cruel down here with all the grass seeds and what not. So I just keep her pretty short all over. Her beard is actually clean, she's just managed to get so many red wine and port stains through it that it remains that darker shade! True story. Booze hound!

No not at all. Like I was mentioning earlier, lots of grass seeds around here, one actually went unnoticed (don't RSPCA me guys, I check her every afternoon) and started to enter her blood stream. So we had to put the poor girl to sleep and extract the spike. :( She was all good though. This was about a year ago now.

most wont ship the monsoons from NZ :(

nice dogs, i too am a dog lover, my boy is spoilt, should have seen him dragging the pork leg around after xmas lol.

Nik, i know what thats like, we had one of our dogs get a grass seed in its foot when we lived out west. got in his foot and made a real mess, we learnt the hard way with that one$$$$$, after that we would check every day in-between the pads.

anyway all my dogs have been Maltese pure breeds, my lil man now contributes to 6 - 8 $800 pups a year.

My boy Kahn as a pup

EDIT: also, Merlin, my bro had a Malamute, at 1year old he weighed in at over 90KG, up on his rear legs he would rest his chest on my shoulder! was a farking monster, dragged me along the beach over 1KM me on my gut with a rope around my leg, him chasing a fucking bird.

Hahahaha. My boy isn't that big, but I reckon he'd be between 55-60KG. When I was looking into buying one I found a website for "Bear Malamutes" in Alaska - Freaking big dogs, around the size your talking about.
They could (1 dog) sled pull 1.8 Tonne in the snow, and 3 Tonne on a wheeled sled on bitumen....

Who needs a towing service when you've got a Mal!

Need to get them out every day though, no life for a Mal being couped up in the back yard..... And they need to know who's boss, or they'll challenge you for authority.
Not a guard dog though, he'd let anyone through the gate as long as they gave him a pat... :)

I've always had a thing for mala's and sib huskies ever since I was little (of course the fam never let me get one haha!).
Massively in2 wolves and theyre the closest u can get. Yes I can imagine them being a handful but theyre a gorgeous breed of dog that's for sure..

Although mine did have blue eyes as an infant - they did turn brown by the time he was 3 months old, and rightly so... All pure-bread Mal's will only have brown eyes. Blue eyes only appear in Husky's (either brown, blue, or both :) )
