Cured a resurgence of teh aidz tonight... lately I've noticed not getting full boost till 3000rpm instead of 2400. Read all the threads I could find, got some ideas as to where to start looking Checked all hoses, reset ecu, cleaned I/C out, reflashed tune which made a slight improvement (28-2900). Checked the ecv actuator arm tonight it was tight but while I was checking it I bumped the ecv control thing and it sounded like it had a spring rattling inside it, I happened to have another one (from the extra turbots I bought) gave it a tap and no noise... so I set about swapping them over. Simple task of undoing a few bolts..... couple of those bolts are in ridiculously fucked up spots which makes it not quite so simple, but I got there (with the help of a cable tie replacing 1 bolt that I couldn't get back in, the one that holds the oil line support bracket directly under the control valve. It didn't really move without the bolt so I decided a cable tie would suffice. I had tried to get it back in for bout 1/2 farkin hr but it seems I'm not blessed with triple jointed asian arms, hands and fingers...). but anyway, took it for a drive before....... I've got full boost (16-17psi) at 2400rpm again  I like it when shit works!! :drinks:

Good stuff Josh. Cable ties are almost always the answer :) Had some fun with a VS commo on the way home tonight. I was actually keeping up with it! Until we hit 80 and then i, being a sensible-almost-a-full-licenced-driver slowed down while the crazy-red-p-plater-in-a-death-machine-commo kept flogging it until the next set of lights. Where i smoothly pulled up alongside him. And off we were again! Good times :)

It pays to double check things..... got my CTP renewal from NRMA the other day.
Found this MAA Online CTP calculator NRMA was cheapest but the MAA calculator came up with $30 less than the quote they'd sent in the mail.
Got on the blower to them and asked what the deal was.
Dude did up a quote over the phone and came up with the same price as the MAA calculator...... they're sending me a new (cheaper) policy.

I love that online CTP comparison. The first time mine ever came through (after 1 year of driving) i did it and one ended up being like $200 cheaper than my quote. One company didnt base their prices on the drivers gender/age. Score!!

Hey lads I got onto this Trapster. Its working a treat as I mapped out my area using the MSC I know and the published sites. If someone else has seen one you get an email and if you run it on your phone it tell you whats going on. Its awesome.
