45mins passed before our orders were taken, then another 1.5 hours before the meal was served. We ate at 10pm.
No tippage was given.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

We'll take you and Leash there for a feed.
It's not as posh as some of the stuff you post up (like blue vein potato chips) but I guarantee you, you'll love it.
And it's certainly not a "beef'n'black bean" kind of affair either... Their food is remarkably delicious!
Game over for me, I'm afraid.Last week a large group (about 30) of us went to an Indian resteraunt for dinner. We booked two weeks ahead.

Normally I would have walked out too Alex, but it was a good friends 40th birthday.
Way to kill a party.

I don't mind tipping unless it is expected...

We gave him a hard time as he walked up to the counter.
I have no problem tipping if the service and food is exceptional. However because of the way it is in Aus, I find it awkward in other countries. Because the wages are do bad in the US, you're expected to tip no matter how good the experience was. Apparently they wait for it, practically blocking the door until you throw 10% their way.
I found it hard in Thailand because of the language barrier. The folk are so pleasant everywhere you go so you don't feel guilty when you don't tip but I think you are supposed to. I forgot to do my social economic research before I went!

Funny thing about this is, that whenever I go out with my mates who are well off (doctors - surgeons and anaethetists) THEY ALL DO THIS.Any of you have the 'mate' who pockets the kesh then pays the bill on his credit card?

As nurses, we can do this too (apparently... we don't get cash bonuses. Apparently, the government rewards us with this privelege of claiming "meals and entertainment" as a tax deduction)
I don't do it.
Maybe I should.

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money.
